How THIS STORY BEGAN
Hello again, I am Janey - a Tech Advocate, Speaker, Startup growth advisor and Immigrant Career Coach. I have attained degrees in Information Technology, Marketing, and a Masters in Management of Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Queen’s University, Canada. On the weekdays, I am a Tech Partnerships leader and Founder on weekends, you will find me creating content on Youtube.
Leaving a thriving tech career and family, I moved to Canada in 2015 with nothing but two suitcases and a whole lot of dreams to THRIVE in this new land. Since then, I have been able to: DIY my way through three postgraduate programs, grow my career from entry level to leadership while in multiple tech companies and various roles from Product Management, to Recruitment and then Sales. I also co-founded and founded a couple businesses - some successful, others not so much - I know! I failed so that you don’t have to.
My DIY process has resulted in building strong networks and gaining a whole lot of insight. I now teach Graduates, Professionals and Starting Entrepreneurs how to optimize resources in a new environment. I help navigate the tools they need to make the right choices towards a fulfilling career and/or business path.
I know a lot more than I knew when I first arrived in Canada and I can BOLDLY say that I am living my career dream and enjoy helping others do the same. I started a Youtube channel that has helped 16,000+ people with their education and career needs. Now I want to be more intentional; I want to help YOU!
